you get what you pay for...it has no on or off switch..it is supposed to ..bad contact..lite turns on and off... there is a huge difference between cheap and inexpensive..this lies somewhere in the middle

The new model I received is not like the photo. The one I bought does not have an on and off switch in the center. It is switched on and off by screwing the laser end to the body. Once inserted into the muzzle, if rotated, the laser dot also rotates in about a 8 circle on the target.
It appears you must first sight in the boresighter before you can sight in a scope. Spend a little more money and get a better quality bore sighter. Would not recommend.

Out of the package the laser boresighter worked well. I used it first on a 40 cal that had been sighted in and the green laser matched closely with the Bushnell red laser. It was only a 1/4 inch out. I would like to see a closer fit on the bushing that one tightens to fit the barrel of the gun vs. just sliding in a 40 cal bushing that has no room for error. With that improvement human error would be lessened.
