Currently living in Ireland where we are allowed sound moderators. The 452 American I recently bought is well-finished with a relatively heavy, free floating barrel. The gun came threaded for a suppressor which is very effective in reducing noise levels ]but not the supersonic ''crack'' of the round[. My wife did not hear me zeroing the rifle just outside her double-glazed kitchen! The trigger is predictable and crisp - a tad on the heavy side for me that will be remedied by tuning. I mounted a 3-9 x 50 Hawke scope that is adequate with acceptable but not exceptional optics. Accuracy is astounding - I have had a few 0.5 MOA 5 shot groups from the benchrest on a calm evening with Winchester Supreme 17 grain ammunition. The bolt has become significantly smoother after cycling through a couple of hundred rounds. The 17 grain ballistic tip fragments easily as per design spec. The 20 grain Winchester mushrooms without fragmenting and punches right through a 5 inch fencepost at 25 yards. I dropped a 15 pound hare with a chest shot at 100 yards with the 20 grain. Large wound channel through the chest and exit wound through the shoulder. I have no doubt that a well-placed shot would take a fox out to 120-130 yards. The rifle is very flat-shooting with little need for range adjustment out to 150 yards with a 125 yard zero. However, it''s main drawback is that it is VERY wind sensitive. A fairly gentle 5-10 mph wind from 9 o''clock was stringing my shots from 2-6 to the right of aimpoint at 125 yards - enough to cause a clean miss. Wind drift aside, I am highly impressed by this rifle and caliber. I have no doubt it will be the most-used of all my firearms.

shot a coyote with my new CZ. head shot at 75 yards. I reflected the scalp to check the wound. There was a tiny entry wound between the eyes and an exit wound at the back of the skull. a linear fracture joined the two points. there was a laceration right through the brain. I used a 20 grain hollow point. Awesome.
